Highrise Building

JNG Engineers Ltd has successfully designed and supervised the construction of 16 storey Mount Street student accomodation and apartments. The project is currently under construction. Through close association with the architect, optimised designs were prepared to   suit the particular requirements of the project. This is     done using our in house computer facilities in structural   analysis, modelling and draughting.

  The Critical Path for this project is to finished the construction in one year. The design concept and methodolody of construction were very important to ensure that the tight dateline is met.
 
 
Apartment and Residential Development
 
With the recent expansion of the apartments and residential development, JNG Engineers Ltd has been involved in a number of the projects.

We have designed apartments as Mount Street, Mokoia Road, Mount Eden road, Newton Road, Rockfield Road, Harrison Road, George Street and residential development projects at Gerard Ways Remuera. We also have designed many single residential dwelling from small through a large houses.
 
Industrial Development
 
JNG Engineers Ltd has designed and supervised the construction of various types of industrial buildings and warehouses. Among those are 7 units of industial showrooms and warehouses, Museum of Transport & Technology warehouse and Rockfield Road showroom and warehouse alternation
 
Commercial and Institutional development
   
  JNG Engineers Ltd works closely with the architect to provide to engineering expertise for the realisation of the architect's concept. We are successfully designed and supervised the construction of 4 storey office building at Augustus Terrace and Sandringham Edenvale Primary School extension.
   
   
  Seismic Upgrading of Existing Building
   
  JNG Engineers Ltd has have vast experienced in the design of seismic upgrading of existing building. Two of the large projects we are involved in are

  • Jasmax office building at 65-67 Upper Queen Street

  • 5 Newton Road


    • Jasmax Office Building

    This project involved the designed of a new level addition on top of existing building and to carry out seismic upgrading of existing building. In the design of seismic upgrading of JASMAX office building, we work closely with JASMAX architect to provide innovative engineering solution and design for the realisation of the architect's concept and detailing requirement. Several options were investigated and cost comparison was carried out. In this particular project, we have adopted steel cross bracing structure for the majority of seismic upgrading work based on cost and member sizes used. Masonry shear wall and polyplast shear panel systems were also adopted in serveral location and whenever possible. Structural steel frames and cross bracing were adopted for the proposed new floor above existing building such that the additional gravity and seismic load are kept to minimum.

    5 Newton Road

    This project again involved the design of a new level addition on top of existing building and to carry out seismic upgrading of existing building. In the design of seismic upgrading of this office building, we work closely with the architect to provide innovative engineering solution and design for the realisation of the architect's concept and detailing requirement. Several options were again investigated and cost comparison was carried out. In this particular project, we have adopted steel cross bracing and frames structure for the majority of seismic upgrading work based on architectural and client requirement. Light weight structural steel frames and cross bracing were adopted for the proposed new floor addition above existing building such that the additional gravity and seismic load are kept to minimum.

    Subdivision and Civil Engineering

    JNG Engineers Ltd has successfully undertaken many stormwate and sewerage drainage designed. Drainage projects range from minor soakage and detention tank design for single dwelling development to drainage reticulation system in large subdivision designed.

    We have successfully completed the designed of drainage system, sewerage and water supply reticulation, earthworks and roading for a 62 lots subdivision designed at Gills Road Albany. The designed works involved were stormwater and sanitary sewer reticulation, water supply reticulation and booster pump station, earthworks, roading, detention and water treatment ponds and dam design. Inaddition, we have also design the realignment of Gills Road
